Bhopal- Allegations of significant irregularities in loan deposits have emerged in the case reported by the manager of Harra Lamps in Madhya Pradesh’s Dindori district. The loan amounts deposited by farmers have yet to reach the Cooperative Department’s main branch, prompting an investigation into the matter. A team of officers was formed to probe fraud complaints in loan disbursement.
The investigation team constituted on the farmers’ complaint from the Harra area, conducted a thorough inquiry and submitted joint interim reports. Based on the findings, a letter has been sent to the institution’s administrator and manager, urging them to act against the Harra Lamps manager. The complaint revealed that farmers had deposited their loan amounts in Harra Lamps, but the manager, Brajlal Rajak, failed to transfer the funds to the branch. Consequently, around 90 farmers, who had deposited Rs 30 lakh for agricultural purposes, needed help accessing loans for the upcoming Kharif crop season.
To relieve the affected farmers, the Cooperative Department is disbursing the exact amount based on the receipts of the deposited funds. However, the amount will be reimbursed to the branch by the manager of Harra Lamps.
The investigation into the irregularities aims to rectify the situation and ensure that the rightful loans are disbursed to the farmers, addressing their immediate financial needs for agricultural activities.
