Indore: In an unfortunate incident, two compartments of Indore- Udaipur Express train derailed from the track at midnight on Friday near Ratlam. The incident led to the closure of Ratlam- Fatehabad- Indore route for around 12 hours. The train heading to Jodhpur from Indore was departed through the Ujjain rail route. The train scheduled from Ratlam to Indore on Saturday morning was altogether cancelled. The railway staff tried to handle the situation before the rail crane reached the spot at 12 in the midnight.
The crane tried to bring the SLR coach back on the track but the operation continued till Saturday morning which caused lot of troubles to the travellers and eventually the staff. The second coach consumed more time to get back on the track than the first one as a reason of which it took 12 long hours to get the situation back in action.
Meanwhile, Railways Divisional Manager Vineet Gupta has ordered to probe in to the derailment of Indore- Udaipur Express train. He said in a statement that he is keeping a close watch therein and monitoring the investigations. Information is being collected to know the reason for such an incident.
