Continuous torrential rain continues in Madhya Pradesh as the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 12 districts including Dindori, Betul, Seoni and Katni, while light rain is forecast in the cities of 9 districts. On the other hand, a monsoon trough from Uttar Pradesh is active through Jharkhand to the Western Bay. Due to this dark clouds will remain in the entire state.
Along with rain, a glimpse of sunshine was also seen in the capital Bhopal. The weather department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Balaghat, Sheopur, Mandla, Shivpuri, Dindori, Ashoknagar, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Katni and Pandhurna. At the same time, thunderstorms along with light rain will continue in Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Betul, Indore, Khandwa, Ujjain, Ratlam, Gwalior and Mandsaur.
Special warnings have been issued for heavy rains in Sagar, Jabalpur and Umaria districts. Citizens have been advised to take extra precautions in these areas.
Let us tell you that, so far, more than 24 inches of rain has fallen in the state, which is 64 percent more than normal. 664 mm of rain has been recorded in eastern Madhya Pradesh, which is 17 percent more than normal rainfall. 22 percent more water has fallen in western Madhya Pradesh too.
