New Delhi: As per IMDs latest notice, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the east-central Bay of Bengal around September 7. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is expected to form in the subsequent 48 hours over the west-central Bay of Bengal.
Under the influence of this sytem, the weather watchdog has predicted rain in the districts of Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdel divisions of East Madhya Pradesh from Wednesday.
As per the statistics on Tuesday, Bhopal received 18 mm of rainfall, while Guna recieved 14mm of rainfall. Betul, Narmadapuram and Pachmarhi recorded 1mm, 2mm and 0.3 mm rainfall respectively.
Karnataka on the other hand is reeling under heavy rains. Severe water logging is reported across low lying areas. Cranes, boats and NDRFs have been pressed in to evacuate residents stranded in waterlogged areas.
