DAMOH: Illegally built structures of minor rape accused have been bulldozed, an official said on Friday. Four accused have been arrested in connection to the gang rape of a minor girl near the famous Ashthbuji temple in Rew district, in September last year.
“Three accused were arrested earlier. One more accused, identified as Kaushal Kishore Choubey was arrested on Friday,” P Kurmi, Raneh Police Station in-charge, Damoh said. Kaushal K Choubey who was arrested on Friday had allegedly encroached on the government land-said officers.
The victim in her complaint mentioned that she was allegedly raped in front of her fiance who accompanied her to the temple and was beaten and their phones were also snatched by the accused.
The houses of the three other accused were also razed down in September last year. Overall six men waylaid the victim and her fiancee thrashed them and raped the girl turn by turn in the bushes in the forest near the temple.
