Bhopal: Due to the strong monsoon being active in Madhya Pradesh, it has been raining for the last few days. Due to the continuous rain, the rivers and streams of the state are overflowing. Meanwhile, seven gates of Bargi Dam have been opened due to rising water levels. Meanwhile, 2 gates of Sanjay Sagar Dam have been opened in Vidisha. Meanwhile, the gates of Kaliyasot Dam in the capital Bhopal can be opened anytime.
Heavy Rain Warning Issued
Heavy rain warning has been issued in 22 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The weather department has predicted rain in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Khandwa, Narsinghpur, Betul, Khargone, Barwani, Rewa, Mandsaur, Dhar, Burhanpur, Narmadapuram, Shahdol, Khajuraho, Panna, Alirajpur, Sagar and other districts. Along with rain, lightning warning has also been issued.
In the last 24 hours, Khargone, Khandwa, Ratlam, Narsinghpur, Ujjain, Dhar, Betul, Indore, Narmadapuram, Mandla, Chhindwara and Sagar have received heavy rainfall. The state has received more than 10 percent rainfall than normal. Bhopal has received 66 percent more rainfall, due to which 9 dams have also become full.
Highest Rainfall Recorded In Seoni
In the state, the highest rainfall has been recorded in Seoni and the lowest in Rewa.
The rain quota has been completed in 53 districts of the state. Less than normal rainfall has been recorded in Rewa and Harda. In Bhopal, the gates of Bhadbhada Dam will be opened after the big pond is full.
