BHOPAL: Guest faculty teachers from across the state under the aegis of the Guest Teacher coordination committee on Monday took out a rally in the capital city. It must be noted that the federation had warned of an indefinite strike from 21st Feb if their demands were not met by Feb 20. As many as 5000 guest lecturers from districts submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and MLA Mukesh Patel.
Stating the demands the State President of the Guest Teachers’ Union, Sunil Parihar interacting with the media said, ” The Chief Minister should also visit here and have a look at the condition of guest scholars and guest teachers.”
He further added that the guest teachers’ posts should be regularized and secured. He/she should be given an order for 12 months posting he underscored stating that several of them faced financial issues due to the rotational rosters. The teachers also demanded an increase in the honorarium and an annual hike.
District President of the organization Bhika Ganwa, LongSingh Chauhan, President of all blocks, District Media In-charge Kamlesh Chauhan, Govind Bhinde, Alkesh Solanki, Harsingh Dhakad, Bhalsingh Chauhan, Ramsingh Tomar, Hiru Kanesh, Kailash Mandloi, Women President Deepmala Gupta, Ritu Chauhan, Sunita Dudve, Daksha Wariya, Geeta Bhinde and a large number of guest teachers participated in the protest.
It is worth noting that the Guest teachers have been protesting for a long time. However, there seems no development in their ordeal. The last protest in this regard was held in October last year in Bhopal.
