During the meeting, discussions were held on the Second Special Brief Revision-2023 activities. It was informed that the draft voter list would be published in all 64,100 polling stations across the state on August 2. From August 2 to August 31, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be at their respective polling stations to facilitate additions, deletions, and modifications to the voter list. Additionally, special camps will be organised on weekends in August, where BLOs will visit households for door-to-door voter list verification. The final publication of the voter list is scheduled for October 4.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to brief the representatives of political parties on various aspects such as Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) training, first-level checking of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines, physical verification of polling stations, and the roles of deputy district election officers, returning officers, assistant returning officers, and state-level master trainers.
