BHOPAL: An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit MPs Jabalpur on Sunday at 11 am, the National Center for Seismology informed.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 02-04-2023, 11:00:36 IST, Lat: 23.22 & Long: 80.40, Depth: 23 Km, Location: 218km ENE of Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India,” the NCS tweeted.
There has been no loss of property or casualties reported.
The low-intensity earthquake comes on the heels of two earthquakes reported across the country in the past two days. On April 1st an earthquake measuring 4.0 hit Portblair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as per the NCS. On March 31, another earthquake measuring 4.3 hit Kargil in Ladakh, the NCS stated.
