Indore: Acting on Intel reports, the DRI has seized 7.1 kg of foreign origin gold bars worth Rs 3.72 crore from a car in Madhya Pradesh.

As per the the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on August 30th intercepted a car o with two occupants on the Mumbai-Agra Highway near Indore. While the vehicle was subjected to a check, 8 gold bars weighing 7.1kgs in a specially built cavity inside the car was seized, officials said. The gold is said to have been brought to India through smuggling from Dubai and Switzerland.

Both the passengers were immediately nabbed and one more syndicate member operating from Mumbai was apprehended based on the information given by the two held.
