Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh: In a scuffle between doctors and a patient’s relatives, the health workers went on strike in Ratlam District hospital. The people accompanying the patient quarreled with the nurse on duty and then assaulted the doctor as well. This angered the doctors and health workers after which they went on strike. The functioning of the hospital came to a standstill and the other patients had to face trouble.

According to the information, on Friday morning at 8:20 am, some people had taken Mohammad Hussain’s son Chhote, a resident of Dalumodi Bazar, to the district hospital for treatment due to ill health. Dr. Pranav Modi checked him and gave him a prescription and asked his relatives to get his ECG done. They reached the ECG ward with the patient, where a dispute arose over the matter of early treatment and some people started a brawl with the present nurse, Ranjana Solanki.

Meanwhile, Dr. Vipin Kumar Dubey reached there and intervened. That’s when the accused started fighting with him. Then the accused threatened the doctor and left from there. As soon as the news spread, the fury of the doctors and health workers spread. They stopped working and started a strike and started protesting by gathering in one place and shouting slogans.

Their demand was that the security system in the hospital should be increased, and the accused should be arrested. At around 11 am, SDM Sanjeev Keshav Pandey and SP Hemant Singh Chauhan reached the hospital and got the strike ended after discussing the matter with the doctors.
