JABALPUR: The decomposed body of a trader missing for 52 days was found dismembered in a drain in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh said, officials.
The main accused of the murder, Tony Verma is said to have committed suicide just a few days after the murder, the investigation revealed. The murder mystery was solved after the police arrested a suspect from Rajasthan- Shakti who under intense interrogation confessed to the murder of Anupam. He revealed that a dispute between Tony Verma and Anupam Verma escalated leading the former to kill.
As per sources, accused Shakti led the police to the drain where a sack containing dismembered body pieces of a 31-year-old trader was found. So far 8 pieces recovered have been identified and the search for two other missing parts is on. The body, as said by Shakti was cut into more than ten pieces using a saw machine in a wood-cutting factory. The search for the saw machine used in the crime continues, officials said.
Anupam originally hailed from Gadarwara but was living in Dhanwantri Nagar. He was married but separated from his wife and had been living in Jausga City Phase 1 for four years. He had gone missing on Feb 16th following which a missing report was filed by his family ten days later after they failed to find him. The Sanjeevani Nagar Police Station, since Feb 26th was searching for Anupam.
