Earlier today, the previous Chief Minister and Congress candidate, Digvijay Singh, landed in Guna. Digvijay Singh visited the EVM strong rooms of the assembly constituencies of Guna district at PG College. He was accompanied by his wife, Amrita Singh, and rival candidate Raav Yadavendra Singh Yadav from Guna.

On the other hand, the television screen outside the substantial room of the EVM in Radhogarh is occupied by Amrita Singh. The TV screen showed that it was June 4 instead of today’s date, and the time difference between the screens was about 33 minutes. When the authorities discovered this inconsistency, Amrita Singh was unhappy and brought it to their attention.

The matter was forwarded to the SDM. It was recommended that it be brought to the attention of the Election Commission. Later on, Digvijay Singh and his wife Amrita Singh went to the Guna Collectorate and told the Collector about the problem. The District Collector assured them that the issue was being rectified.

Mr Digvijay Singh mentioned the Lok Sabha elections, illustrating people’s anger with their vote. He said that the Congress would do a better job in Madhya Pradesh.

The tragedy has shocked the system and raised the question of the accuracy of elections and the work of EVMs. Any inconsistencies in the accounting of electoral instruments should be corrected on time to preserve the integrity and legitimacy of the elections.
