Bhopal: The SIT constitued by Home Minister Narottam Mishra to probe Nishank Rathore death concluded its investigation, stating that the incident occurred due to suicide and was not a murder.

Confirming the monetary aspect, Amrit Singh Meena, ASP Raisen who is also heading the SIT constituted to probe the matter, told reporeters, “Prima facie no evidence suggests anyone’s presence in the hours of Nishank’s death. We are probing the message sent to father, and the mobile along with the laptop recovered from his home.”

The ASP further mentioned that they have found that Nishank had taken money on the pretext of paying his college fees from both his father and his sisters – but he was not attending college for the last one and half months.

A week ago, Nishank Rathore a 20 year old engineering student was found dead on railway track in MPs Raisden district. A mysterious text on the deceased lads mobile phone created suspicion that the death might have been a murder. The WhatsApp message read- “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saza, sar tan se juda (There is only one punishment for those who insult Nabi, beheading)”.

Nishank’s father Umashankar, who had no idea about the incident when he received the text, frantically called his daughters who had by then seen the Instagram story and were trying to reach out to their brother. On learning about finding a dead body the family rushed to the spot with the fear of loosing their child which turned true in a while

Meanwhile Mishra who had constituted the special team assured quick and justified results of the incident. As per the post mortem report, it is learnt that the boy was hit by a train and severly injured.
