During the hearing, the government presented its side before the court today. While SIMI’s lawyer will present his side to the court on Friday.
During the hearing on Thursday, the government told the court that the activities of SIMI members are still going on. Therefore, the ban on SIMI should not be lifted now but should be extended. The government told the court that SIMI activities are still going on in many cities of the country. In the hearing on Thursday, the government argued for four hours and presented its side. The government has also placed many important evidences regarding the ban on SIMI before the court.
Advocate Naeem Khan, who is pleading on behalf of SIMI, says that when the hearing will take place tomorrow, we will also present our side. Advocate Naeem Khan said that for the past few years, no crime has been registered against SIMI in any district. He says that in the last few years, no activity of SIMI has been seen. This clearly shows that the organization of SIMI has completely ended. Therefore, a demand will be made to lift the ban imposed on it. Naeem Khan says that if the government has any proof, then it should also tell in which district in the past seven-eight years action has been taken against SIMI and FIR has been registered.
