Bhind: In a major operation against the drug menace, Gormi police successfully seized a large stash of contraband substances. Nearly 2 kgs of Hashish from four different individuals and other contraband substances worth Rs 21 lakh was seized from the drug traffickers.
The police have been interrogating the gang to catch the main accused involved in the smuggling. Officials claim the accused have cited linkages to inter-state smugglers.
The operation was reportedly held under the of SDOP Mehangaon RKS Rathore, Gormi inspector-in-charge of police station Suresh Sharma and cyber cell in-charge Shivpratap Singh Rajawat who received information about the drug dealing near Hirapur village in Gormi.
Apart from ‘Hashish’ often known as Hash, the police seized 7 kgs ganja, worth Rs- 84,000 and detained a Platina motor bicycle, worth Rs.-56,000. A case has also been registered under the NDPS Act against the four accused.
