Ujjain: Two days before the historic day, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan changed the names of many campuses in Mahakal Lok to Hindi instead of English. The Mahakal Lok is ready for inauguration on October 11 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ujjain’s Public Relations gave information through a poster wherein it mentioned the return of Ujjaini glory to Hindi.

Visitor Facility Centre has been named as Mansarovar, Midway Zone as Madhyanchal, Commercial Plaza as Triveni Mandapam, Lotus Pondal as Kamala Sarovar, Night Garden as Sandhya Vatika, Gazibo Plaza as Tripatha and Bhairav ​​Mandapam, Deck 1 as Avantika, and Deck 2 as Kanaka Shringa.

A total of 8 places have been renamed and all of them are a part of newly created Rs 850 crore Mahakal Lok. However, none of the names of the Mahakal temple complex have been tampered. Earlier, CM Chouhan had expressed concern over the names of the hotel in the city at Ramghat on the Shipra river and directed them to make all names in Hindi.
