Bhopal: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a report that states that the northwest Indian states are likely to receive rain and hailstorm over the next few days. These regions include Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and the Western parts of the Himalayan region.
The western Himalayan region is predicted to have snowfall, while the nearby areas might experience isolated rainfall. The IMD statement said, “Light to Moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, snowfall with thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (wind speed 30-40 kmph) very likely over Northwest India during next 2 days, significant reduction thereafter for 02 days and a fresh spell likely to influence the whole region from 6th May with scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over plains of Northwest India for subsequent 2-3 days.”
Along with that, the temperature of Delhi is also expected to drop to at least 28 degrees max for the next few days, according to the IMD reports. Delhi experienced a 10° drop in temperature in the past few weeks.
IMD revealed that Delhi will experience the hottest month in May, where the maximum temperature will be 39.5° Celsius. On 1st May, Delhi recorded the coldest day in the Summer months with a maximum temperature of 26° Celsius.
