Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Civic Body Polls which concluded on Wednesday saw a voter turnout of around 65.10 per cent according to the State Election Commission. The counting of votes is schedules on July 17th but the Indian National Congress (INC) has decided to throw a feast for all its local leaders and MLC candidates beforehand only. The Congress party will organize a banquet on July 15th at the Nirvana Garden in Indore.
The Grand Old Party of India seems confident of its win in the recently held elections where the party has shown great confidence on the face of MLA Sanjay Shukla. The party will throw a big event on Friday to appreciate the efforts of party members in the elections. Meanwhile, the first phase of Urban body elections were held on July 6th where the voter turnout was around 61 per cent.
In the first phase Ratlam, Devas and Agar Malwa recorded more than 80% voter turnout while Bhopal saw only 51% voters exercising their right. The counting of votes for the first phase is scheduled on July 17th whereas the second phase pll counts will be done on July 20th. Reportedly, the ruling party, BJP is also assured of its win in the election
