Bhopal: A railway bridge, 15 underpass, and two flyovers worth Rs 3,000 crore are set to be built in Bhopal. The bypass will start from before Mandideep and connect to Dewas-Indore road ahead of Phanda via Kolar Road, announced the cabinet led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The bypass will be 35 kilometers long and will have a railway bridge, two flyovers, and 15 underpasses. It is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the city and improve connectivity between Bhopal and other parts of the state.
The bypass is being built by the Madhya Pradesh government and is expected to be completed in three years.
Besides the road infrastructure, CM Chouhan also announced that 108 feet statue of Lord Shankar shall be unveiled soon in Ekatm Dham.
