INDORE : Raids are underway in the several residences of Mineral officer Manmohan Khatedia. A team from the anti-corruption wing of Lokayukta under the leadership of DSP Lokayukta Indore Anand Yadav on Tuesday searched several residences belonging to Khatedia.
Interacting with the media, DSP stated to have found assets disproportionate to his salary during the raid. As per records, Khatedia was posted as the mineral officer in 1991. He has served as the mineral officer in Dhar, Indore, Dewas and Ujjain.
Registering a case under Prevention of Corruption Act Bhopal, Lokayukta officials have stated to have recovered properties more than Rs 3 crores belonging to the officer.
Lokayukta’s team has found various residences of Manmohan in different areas including Tulsi Nagar Colony and Mahalaxmi Nagar, Indore. Properties are also found in District Dhar, Jhabua, and Ujjain. It is learned that some lands, commercial plots, two luxury vehicles and a Stone crusher plant have also been found in his son’s name.
Investigation of other assets such as jewellery, cash, and bank account are underway.
