Betul. Politics is going on in Madhya Pradesh over the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Dr. Ambedkar. Protests are being held across the state regarding this. Meanwhile, the Adivasi Congress also protested in Betul. But this protest proved to be a failure. More police force was seen than Congressmen.
Actually, in Betul, the Adivasi Congress had warned of a big movement against the Home Minister. But this protest turned out to be a flop. Only 15 to 20 Congressmen gathered at the Ambedkar Chowk of the city. The protest lost steam within half an hour. More police force was seen than Congressmen. While protesting, the Congressmen tried to burn the photo of Home Minister Amit Shah. However, the police snatched the burning photo and extinguished the fire.
It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, during the discussion on the Constitution in the Rajya Sabha, the Union Home Minister targeted the Congress Party and said that it has become a fashion now – Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, if you take so many names of God, you will get heaven for seven lives. On this statement, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded resignation from Amit Shah.
Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Kharge said that when Amit Shah was talking about Ambedkar, he said ‘You people take Ambedkar’s name 100 times, if you had taken God’s name that many times, you would have gone to heaven 7 times’ which means taking Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s name is a crime and his intention was to oppose the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
