Bhopal- In Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, a case has been registered against 77 newly appointed differently-abled teachers for allegedly possessing fake disability certificates. Morena’s District Education Officer (DEO) complained, leading to legal action.
DEO Anup Kumar Pathak revealed that out of the 750 teachers appointed from the disability quota statewide, 450 disability certificates were found to be issued from Morena District Hospital. In response to this discovery, the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Bhopal instructed the Morena district collector to investigate the matter.
During the inquiry, it was determined that out of the 257 disability certificates examined, 77 had not been assessed in Morena. As a result, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against all the implicated candidates based on senior officials’ instructions, and the Kotwali police station in Morena is now conducting further investigations.
Yogendra Singh Jadaun, the in-charge of Kotwali police station, stated that the DEO’s application confirmed that the 77 teachers had secured their positions by submitting false certificates. After verifying the information, a case was registered against the accused teachers. These individuals are currently posted in various districts throughout Madhya Pradesh.
The incident raises concerns about the integrity of the teacher recruitment process and emphasises the need for thorough verification procedures to prevent such fraudulent activities. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the truth behind the issuance of these fake disability certificates and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
