Ujjain: On Monday morning, a truck rammed a school vehicle on the Unhel-Nagda road. The vehicle was carrying 15 students out of which 11 kids are severely injured while four kids died in the accident.
Ujjain SP Satyendra Shukla said that the vehicle was carrying the students from Fatima Convent, Egoshdeep School, and nearby schools. On the way, a truck coming from Nagda’s side and the school vehicle full of children collided head-on near Jhirnia. Apart from the children, the bus driver was also injured in the accident.
Collector Ashish Singh confirmed that all of these kids were 6 to 15 years old and were studying in classes III through VII. The injured kids are receiving treatment at Ortho, Nagda, Sanjeevani in Ujjain, and Bombay Hospital in Indore.
The kids who Died in the accident were named Bhavyansh (13), Sumit (18), Uma (15), and Inaya (6).
The ambulance driver revealed that the ambulance arrived at the accident spot after 10 minutes of reporting the accident. Meanwhile, the children were stuck in the car. The School Management has issued a letter confirming the accident stating, “The students of Fatima Convent School were coming to school in the morning, there is no contract of any vehicle owner with the school. Parents send their children to school on their own responsibility. The Fatima family is shocked by this incident and prays for speedy recovery of all the students”.
