BHOPAL: MP CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday launched the implementation of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 at the Ravindra Bhavan in the state capital Bhopal at 2:30 P.M.
Under this initiative, the state govt has made a provision of Rs 25,000 to Ladli Laxmi girls for higher education. The first installment of which was released today amongst 1437 Ladli girls. Chauhan also dedicated the ‘Ladli Laxmi Path’ and ‘Ladli Laxmi Vatika’ today.
With the launch on Wednesday, a program will be organized in all district HQs, Gram Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, and Nagar Palika for seven days where the Ladli Laxmi girls will be handed over the first installment.
The Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started in 2007 with the intention of making daughters a boon and not a burden in the state. In the initial phase, the incentives were issued up tp 12th grade. The 2.0 version of this scheme provides provisions to daughters for higher education.
It is worth noting that the state has around 42 Lakh Ladli Laxmi in the state, out of which around 1500 have leaped towards higher studies.
