Bhopal: Attending the ‘Rojgar Diwas’ in Rewa, CM Chauhan on Wednesday, asked the Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Rewa district “when will these bulldozers be used” while referring to a rape case that occurred in Raj Niwas.
The comments came after Mahant Sitaram alias Samarth Tripathi disciple Mahant Sitaram Das was arrested in the wee hours on Wednesday, for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in Rewa circuit house.
While addressing the gathering, Chouhan said, “I have read about the rape incident in Raj Niwas. The District Collector and SP, I am telling you to take strict action against those involved in the matter. When these bulldozers be used?”
As per the primary reports it is learnt that the girl, who escaped while the seers’ associates tried to relocate her- was locked, intoxicated and threatened and raped.
The SS Chauhan govt on the lines of Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s moniker ‘ ‘Bulldozer Baba’ has taken the bulldozer route against criminals. The MP govt on March 19th, launched the program under which properties of criminals will be demolished.
