CHHATARPUR: As many as 2 women died and 3 others were injured in an ambulance accident where it collided with a dumper on Sunday night in MPs Chhatarpur. One out of the two women is said to have been pregnant.
The accident took place at the Chhatrsal crossroads in Kotwali PS limits. The deceased have been identified as Ramdevi 26 years old who is speculated to have been carrying and her sister in law-Ramkali 38 years old. The injured who were provided immediate medical attention in the district hospital are said to be critical. They were identified as Daya Ra, – the husband of Ramdevi; Babulal Advisai, and Khembati. As per reports all traveling in the vehicle were residents of Bamitha village Chhatapur district.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pregnant lady had gone into labor and so was being rushed to the hospital in the ambulance from her village.
A probe is launched along with a look out notice for the ambulance driver- who is on the run.
