According to the police, Sharmila has been moved to Hyderabad to avoid law & order problems in Mahabubabad. A case has also been registered against her. She has been accused of ‘insulting’ the legislator belonging to ST community, through her comments during her padayatra or foot march ‘Praja Prasthanam’ in Mahabubabad on Saturday. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers also staged a protest against Sharmila’s comments in the Mahabubabad district.
