Lucknow: COVID trajectory of Uttar Pradesh presents a continuous rise. The state health bulletin recorded 1280 cases in the past 24 hours. With this rise, Lucknow accounts for 2598 cases of COVID. Around 8,669 active cases are observed.
299 Patients recovered while 4 succumbed to death. In addition, 75 patients have been reported in Varanasi, 61 in Mathura, 57 in Prayagraj, 53 in Kanpur, 48-48 in Raebareli and Unnao, 34 in Gautam Budh Nagar 46 and Ghaziabad.
A total of 6.13 lakh people have been infected with coronavirus in the state so far and out of this, 5.97 lakh have been healthy. The active case has come down to 97.4 percent. As per the state health ministry, a total of 3.45 crores of people have been screened so far. The ever-increasing graph of the corona has spread panic across the state.
Meanwhile, the Yogi government has made it clear that the cases have increased. Uttar Pradesh government spokesperson and Cabinet Minister Sidharth Nath Singh said on Tuesday that cases in UP are yet to increase but there is no situation like lockdown. He said,’ We are vigilant about COVID-19 and are taking paramount means to curb the spread.” He has appealed to the public to follow social distancing and don masks while in a mass gathering. He has also advised the shopkeepers to maintain the norms during their working hours.
