New Delhi: A 20-year-old woman died in a freak road accident in Delhi on Wednesday after she leaned out of the bus to vomit, leading to her head being crushed between two vehicles.
The victim identified as Baby, a resident of Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh was on her way to meet her brother in Punjab on the occasion off Raksha Bandhan. Following the incident, she was taken to SRHC Hospital in Narela and was declared dead by the time police arrive.
In another shocking incident near the Moolchand Metro Station in South Delhi, a woman, identified as Monika, was traveling in a private bus with her friends when she leaned out of the window to take a selfie.
As she was doing so, a speeding truck came from the opposite direction and hit the bus. The impact of the collision caused Monika’s head to be crushed between the bus and the truck. She was pronounced dead on the spot.
The police have registered a case of rash driving and causing death by negligence against the truck driver. They are also investigating whether Monika was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
This is a tragic reminder of the dangers of taking selfies while driving or riding in a moving vehicle. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to avoid taking any risks that could put your life in danger.
