Wayanad Landslide: All eyes were on the search in Mundakkai top after the Indian Army’s thermal scanner detected the presence of life under the debris. Earlier on Friday, India Meteorological Department of Kerala has issued an ‘orange’ alert in the Wayanad district until Saturday after the state has already been affected by massive landslides reportedly claiming more than 290 lives.
The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain is expected to continue in Kerala until August 5. In Wayanad, rescuers raced against time under harsh conditions to search for survivors trapped in collapsed buildings, three days after massive landslides struck the hill district.
