Bollywood: Consistently standing up for humanitarian acts, actor Vivek Oberoi took up another initiative to serve mankind. This time, the Saathiya superstar started a fundraiser to provide food to over 3,000 cancer patients and their families for the next three months.

Through the initiative, Vivek is on a mission to help the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) and its food bank to provide food to over 3,000 cancer patients and their families for three months.

Sharing a video on his Instagram handle this Saturday, he urged people from all walks of life to come forward and contribute as much as possible for his fundraiser. He further added that a contribution of just Rs 1,000 could go into providing an entire month’s food to a child fighting cancer.

Vivek concluded the video by sharing a very important message, he said, “These people are already fighting cancer, let’s ensure that they don’t have to fight hunger.”

Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) is a 52-year-old holistic approach towards cancer care that has always looked beyond just the treatment. It aims to save the lives of those who cannot afford treatments. Thousands of patients and their families have benefited from CPAA’s Food Bank so far. They are building a fund to sustain this meal program for the next three months. “We cannot do this alone, and that is why we need your help. A small contribution of Rs 1,000 can ensure food for one patient for an entire month,” read a column on their website.
