A replacement aircraft will be deployed by Vistara Airlines at the Erzurum Airport in Turkey, which will take back all the passengers who have been stranded over there. This has occurred because of the flight route change of the UK 27 Mumbai Frankfurt flight to Turkey, due to the bomb threat. It happened on Friday, which also allowed the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to land safely at the Erzurum Airport.
It all started when the crew members of the UK 27 flight started discovering strange notes regarding the flight bomb threat which took place shortly after it took off. The flight was scheduled to take off from the Mumbai Airport at 1:01 PM but it took an hour delay due to the same, expected to reach Frankfurt Airport at 5:30 PM. But it was diverted due to security reasons, and the passengers landed safely in Turkey at the Erzurum Airport, at 7:05 PM IST.
Following this, Vistara Airlines also posted a note on X (formerly Twitter), regarding the incident, giving an update on the passengers and crew members safety in the flight and it’s expected time of arrival in Frankfurt. “Since the crew have exceeded their duty time limitations, we are dispatching an alternate aircraft with a new crew to Erzurum Airport. This replacement aircraft is scheduled to arrive by 12:25 pm local time and will depart for Frankfurt at 2:30 pm local time” said Vistara Airlines in a tweet.
This shows that the airlines have been working timely to ensure passengers and crew members are safe and reach their destination on time, despite the challenges faced. It also expressed deep concern and regret due to the inconveniences caused to the passengers due to the same.
