Arunachal Pradesh: A case of a violent clash between the soldiers of India and China has come to light near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. Soldiers from both countries have been injured in this clash. According to sources, this incident is of December 9. As per reports from the sources, the clash occurred in the angste area near the Tawang sector last Friday. After the face-off, when the soldiers from both sides got injured, they “immediately disengaged” from the area.
The source said, “In certain areas along the LAC in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh there are areas of differing perception, wherein both sides patrol the area up to their claim lines. This has been the trend since 2006. On 09 December 2022, Chinese troops contacted the LAC in Tawang Sector which was contested by their own troops in a firm and resolute manner.”
It must be noted that it is the same area in the LAC where the Indian troops took over the Chinese soldiers last year. Apparently, the worst Indo-Chinese clash occurred in June 2020 in the Galwan Valley area where over 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives. On the other hand, over 40 Chinese soldiers were either killed or injured in this clash.
