Former Deputy Prime Minister and a veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani was released from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday. The 96-year-old statesman had been admitted to the medical facility the night before the time of his demise due to age-related ailments.

Based on Advani’s condition, he sought the services of several experts in urology, cardiology, and geriatric medicine. He was admitted to the old private ward of AIIMS at approximately 10:Wednesday 30 PM as a termination date of the account. An official at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences said that Advani had a minor surgical operation linked to his age problems. Yes, Advani was hospitalized for an old age complication and has since been discharged, the official revealed. The same was attributed to hospital sources that informed the public that Advani was in stable condition and closely monitored during his time at the health facility.

Lal Krishna Advani was born on the 8th of November 1927 in Karachi, now in Pakistan. On 30 March 2024, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in India, by President Draupadi Murmu, rewarding his work for the nation in politics and in general.

The Veteran BJP leader, Advani’s political career started in 1942, when, at the age of 14, he became a swayamsevak or a volunteer in the RSS. He first entered parliament in the same year, 1970, being elected to the Rajya Sabha. He filed his nomination for the first time in the year 1989 for the Lok Sabha Constituency of New Delhi and won the seat defeating Mohini Giri. Demand’s credit for the BJP has come from Advani, who was the president of the party when BJP was making its impact from 1986-1990, from 1993-1998 and last from 2004-2005.
