NEW DELHI – In the aftermath of the recent deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the United States has once again reiterated its unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s ongoing battle against terrorism. The attack, which claimed the lives of several civilians, has drawn widespread condemnation and renewed calls for international cooperation in combating extremist threats.  

A statement released by the US State Department expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized the shared commitment of the United States and India to counterterrorism. “The United States stands in solidarity with India in the face of this heinous act of violence,” the statement read. “We condemn terrorism in all its forms and remain committed to working with our Indian partners to ensure the safety and security of our citizens.”  

The statement further highlighted the strategic partnership between the two nations, particularly in intelligence sharing and joint counterterrorism operations. This reaffirmation of support comes at a critical juncture, as India continues to grapple with cross-border terrorism and seeks to strengthen its security apparatus.  

US officials emphasized the importance of holding perpetrators accountable and disrupting terror networks that threaten regional stability. They reiterated the United States’ commitment to supporting India’s efforts to dismantle these networks and promote peace in the region.  

Prime Minister Modi, in response, acknowledged the US’s solidarity and reiterated India’s resolve to fight terrorism with all its might. Indian security agencies have intensified operations in the region following the attack, aiming to apprehend the responsible individuals and prevent future incidents. The international community, including several other nations, has also condemned the attack and offered support to India.
