Bhubaneshwar: The wife of Union Tribal Affairs minister Jual Oram, Jhingia Oram, died late on Saturday night at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, officials said. She was fifty-eight years old. Jhingia had been admitted to the hospital with dengue sickness, for which she had been receiving treatment for the last nine days. Sadly, owing to the health complications she was diagnosed with, she grew worse even with medical attention, and she died prematurely.

The Union minister disclosed that his wife died at about 10:50 p.m. Besides dengue, Jhingia had been diagnosed with lung fibrosis, making her condition critical. By then, her platelet count had reduced to 60,000, and, therefore, she fainted to the ground. Looking at the morals of a chief minister, he captioned his photograph with the words Thanks a ton. He dedicated the picture to his wife, Rama Jual Oram, for standing by him and supporting his political journey. “She was bearing a huge load for which I was able to attend to my political responsibilities,” he explained emotionally to the media.

After her death, the Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other ministers and BJP leaders visited Jual Oram’s house at Lumbinivihar, Bhubaneswar, on Sunday to pay their last respects to Jhingia Oram. The Chief Minister offered a floral wreath and condoled to the bereaved family members. The CM also wrote in X that he had paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of Jhingia Oram, the wife of a party senior leader and Union minister Jual Oram. My tributes to the departed soul, he said It is an irreparable loss for Jual Oram’s family. We have come here to condole the CM posted on X.

Jhingia Oram, wife of Jual Oram, whom she married in 1987, was a loyal wife and a good mother. They both have two daughters.
