Bilaspur– The South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur division has scheduled the launch of a relieving girder between Asanboni-Govindpur railway stations, leading to a power block and subsequent delays in train services. This infrastructure development work aims to enhance punctuality and speed once completed. However, three express trains will experience delays as a result.
On June 11, the work will commence, impacting trains passing through Chhattisgarh. The Pune-Howrah Duronto Express (Train No. 12221) departing from Pune on June 12 will experience a one-hour delay. Similarly, the Sainagar Shirdi-Howrah Express (Train No. 22893) departing from Sainagar Shirdi on June 22 will be delayed by 1.30 minutes.
In addition, the Santragachi station in the Kharagpur division of the South Eastern Railway is undergoing foot-overbridge construction, resulting in another power block and disruptions to passenger trains. The scheduled departure of the Howrah-Mumbai Geetanjali Express (Train No. 2860) on June 12 will be delayed by two hours. The Howrah-Mumbai Mail Express (Train No. 2810) leaving Howrah on the same day will experience a delay of 4 hours and 30 minutes. Lastly, the Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express (Train No. 2130) leaving Howrah on June 12 will be delayed by 3 hours.
These infrastructure improvement works are crucial for the overall development and efficiency of the railway network. While they may result in temporary inconveniences, the long-term benefits of improved operations and passenger experience will be substantial. The railway administration assures passengers that every effort is made to minimize delays and ensure a smooth travel experience.
