After the dry run of the COVID-19 vaccination process in 4 states on December 28 and 29, a dry run is now going on nationwide for the same. Amidst this, the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan while supervising the dry run in Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in New Delhi, was asked by the media whether the vaccination will be free of cost in Delhi or not. To this, the minister’s answer was – “Delhi mein nahi saare desh mein free hai (Not just in Delhi, it will be free across the country)”.

The Union Health Ministry has already shared its objective for the dry run of COVID-19 vaccination across the states, remarking “assess operational feasibility in the use of COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) application in a field environment, to test the linkages between planning and implementation and to identify the challenges and guide the way forward prior to actual implementation”.

Earlier, Dr. Harsh Vardhan had announced in front of the media that “each member of the medical teams should be trained responsibly, just like preparations during elections”. On the other hand, Satyender Jain, the Delhi Health Minister on being asked about the vaccine, replied – “Yes, medicines and treatment are being provided for free in Delhi anyway”.
