Hyderabad: Telangana government on Saturday said it has decided to observe September 17 as Telangana National Integration Day. September 17 is the day erstwhile Hyderabad State under Nizam rule merged with the Indian Union in 1948.
An official release from state cabinet on Saturday said that the govt would organize a three day celebration beginning on September 16th. The release added that the CM KTR would hoist the national flag and address the gathering at Nampally public grounds on Sept 17th following which a rally will be taken out .
On Sept 18th , the state will felicitate freedom fighters in district HQs along with poets, artisans and other personalities. On the same day, beneficiaries under Dalit Bandhu Scheme from 100 to 500 in every Assembly constituency, will also be increased the press release further said.
