Telangana: In a horrific incident that took place at Choutuppal town of the Yadadri Bhuvangiri district in Telangana, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped and murdered on Monday evening. The deceased woman’s body was then allegedly raped again by the accused.
Reportedly the accused threatened to kill her on resistance and smashed her face with a blunt object. Post which, he repeatedly raped her corpse. Apart from detailing the crime, Choutuppal ACP told news media that the accused then ran away with gold jewellery.
The woman’s corpse was found by her husband miles away from their home. He immediately approached the Choutuppal police, who rushed to the spot and shifted her to the local hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The accused identified as a construction supervisor had been allegedly stalking the woman for a while. As per reports, it is learnt that the couple had migrated from a tribal hamlet of Nagarkurnool district migrated to Choutuppal in search of livelihood a few months ago.
The accused was produced before a court on Wednesday and remanded in judicial custody. The Chouttuppal police has charged him under Section 376 (rape), 392 (robbery) and 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code besides the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
