Bollywood: In spite of the fact that the post-mortem report after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput clearly expressed it as death because of suicide, many inconsistencies are being found in the report. Following this, the CBI is planning to perform a psychological autopsy of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. As indicated by a report in a news portal, CFSL (Central Forensic Science Laboratory) will carry out the procedure.
It will essentially mean the post-mortem of Sushant’s mind after his death. It apparently includes a detailed examination of each part of Sushant’s life that incorporates his interactions with loved ones, family and friends, state of mind, behavioural patterns, social media posts, etc. The report also included that the report will frame an image of his psychological state days before his demise.
Expounding more, the report additionally included that this kind of investigation technique is very complex, has been utilized multiple times before in Sunanda Pushkar’s case and Delhi’s Burari mass suicide case that happened two years back.
In the interim, the CBI group has apparently moved toward the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for help with Sushant’s case. A four-member forensic team from the medical clinic will examine the post-mortem report.
What is Psychological Autopsy?
A case of suicide is not too easy to decipher if there are clues, signs of depression or a suicide note. So to investigate and know more about the case, investigators use a method of research called Psychological Autopsy. It is a method that tries to explain why a person could have taken their life on the basis of recent medical records, interviewing close ones and such factors.
The process also called the ‘postmortem of mind’, the CFSL team will conduct a detailed study of every aspect of Rajput’s life – from his social media posts to his mood swings to his conversations with family members and friends.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in June, the Mumbai Police enlisted a case of accidental death. The case is at present being examined/investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
