Rajasthan: A 16-year-old specially-abled minor girl was gang-raped during the late hours on Tuesday night. The incident is reported in Rajasthan’s Alwar, where the grievously injured girl was found thrown on the road near a culvert.  The girl drenched in blood was rushed to a private hospital after the public took notice of her under the Tijara flyover. However, as the girl was critical, she was later shifted to the JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur.

According to officials, the girl who was brought to the JK Lon Hospital on Wednesday presented severe injuries which were suspected to have been due to the use of sharp objects on her private parts. After performing surgery for almost two and half hours, the doctors claimed the girl was critical and battling for life. Superintendent of JK Lon Hospital, Dr Arvind Shukla informed that a team of seven doctors including gynaecologists and plastic surgeons were treating the victim and closely monitoring her vitals.

Meanwhile, police officials have initiated a search for the accused through the CCTV grab that was retrieved from the surveillance centre within 25 km of the incident spot.  Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam informed the constitution of an SIT including six SHOs who are searching for technical and scientific evidence to arrest the accused.

Extending help towards the victim the CM and the Department of Women and Child Welfare have given ex-gratia of Rs 6 lakh to the family of the victim. Social justice Minister Tikaram Julie also provided financial assistance of Rs 3.5 lakhs to the next of kin.
