Uttar Pradesh: The SIT probing the Lakhimpur violence on Thursday decided to recreate the scene at the site of the incident bringing in Union Minister Ashish Mishra’s son Ajay Mishra and the other accused on the spot. Police informed that the three accused were taken to the site of the incident on the Tikonia-Banbirpur road around 60km from district headquarters Lakhimpur amidst heightened security.

Earlier on Wednesday, the local court dismissed the bail application moved by to Asish Mishra’s lawyer. Meanwhile, two more accused were taken into custody on Wednesday by the SIT of UP Police. The names of two accused identified as Ankit Das and Lateef alias Kala surfaced during an interrogation of the previously arrested. So far six people have been arrested in the case. Meanwhile, on the same day, UP Law Minister Brijesh Pathak visited the violence-hit district ten days after the incident. However, it is reported that he didn’t convene with all the bereaved families.

Ashish Mishra son of State in Union Minister is claimed to have allegedly run his SUV over the four farmers and a journalist.  An FIR was lodged by the opposition and the farmers demanding arrest of the accused and urged the President to sack Union Minister Ajay Mishra.
