Chandigarh: Cricket turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu who was admitted to Chandigarh’s PGIMER on Monday afternoon is stable, the medical facility said.
Jailed Sidhu complained of liver problems and was brought to the hospital under heavy security from Patiala prison. n the evening, the hospital facility issued a statement saying Sindhu has been kept under observation and is stable.
Sidhu was arrested on May 20, in connection with a road rage death case. He has been sentenced to one-year rigorous imprisonment by the SC.
About two weeks ago, Sidhu was taken to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala for medical examination. Sidhu could not consume wheat, sugar, maida and some food items, the counsel said. The 58-year-old politician suffers liver ailments and has embolism.
