Srinagar: On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted raids at multiple locations in the Union Territory as part of an investigation into a terror-related case. The searches were carried out in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Pulwama districts in the Kashmir Valley.

The raids began early in the morning, and SIA sleuths collected evidence, including from digital devices. Further details are awaited, but officials said that the raids were part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-related case.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has been on high alert in recent months following a series of targeted killings of civilians and security personnel in the region. The SIA is a specialized agency tasked with investigating terror-related cases in the Union Territory.

The raids are a sign that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is determined to take strong action against terrorism in the region. The raids are also likely to send a strong message to potential terrorists that they will not be tolerated.

The raids were welcomed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who are tired of the violence that has plagued the region for decades. They expressed hope that the raids would lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the recent killings.

Earlier on September 16, SIA carried out searches in the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi following information about desperate attempts by terrorists to revive militancy in the district, police said on Saturday.
