Maharashtra : Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has been summoned by ED yet again on Tuesday. Earlier, Raut, who was asked to appear before ED on Tuesday itself sought two weeks’ time from the Central Agency to put together documents of the case. Raut, who now has to appear before ED on July 1 posted on Twitter- Good! There are big political developments in Maharashtra. We, Balasaheb’s Shivsainiks, are fighting a big battle. This is a conspiracy to stop me. Even if you behead me, I won’t take the Guwahati route. Arrest me! Jai Hind!
Raut is being called for questioning in related to 1200 Crores chawl redevelopment scam. The promoters of HDIL group Rakesh Wadhawan and his son Sarang along with a close associate of Sanjay Raut, Pravin Raut is involved in the said case. Reportedly, Pravin Raut has already been arrested by ED.
This has sparked a new row in the ongoing Maharashtra political tensions; where Shiv Sena is trying hard to call back their rebel MLAs staying in Guwahati with Eknath Shinde as their ‘leader’. Raut opened fire on the Central Government alleging that he is being targeted at this time because of BJPs desire to rule the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha.
