Mumbai: The Shiv Sena party, in an editorial, namely ‘Samana’, has lambasted the BJP Party on Thursday for dragging the farmers’ issue instead of ending it peacefully with a proper talk with the leaders of the farmers’ union. The Shiv Sena, through the editorial, advised the ruling party to ‘find a way to end the protest’ at various borders of the national capital and send the farmers back to their homes respectfully.
According to the editorial release, Shiv Sena remarked – “Thousands of farmers have been lying on the roads at the Delhi border for the last 90 days. All those farmers are Hindus”, also raising a question to the central government – “When will you send those farmers back to their home respectfully?”
The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis has also been criticized in the article, for making a fuss over Sharjeel Usmani’s arrest. The article suggests that the state government of Maharashtra has the power of pulling Usmani out from any nook of the universe. “Fadnavis is calling for the arrest of Sharjeel. Well done Devendra! You have expressed the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the government. Everyone has the desire to take drastic action by dragging a goat named Sharjeel, but there is no need to make much such a fuss”, the article suggested.
Notably, earlier this week (on Tuesday) Fadnavis requested the government of Maharashtra to take an exemplary step against Sharjeel Usmani, the student of Aligarh Muslim University, for the comments he uttered against Hinduism at an Elgar Parishad Event lately.
