Swami Avimukteshwaranad, Shankaracharya of Jyotirath has raised strong objections to building the historical Kedarnath Temple in Delhi claiming that there can’t be another symbolic Kedarnath.
Referring to the names and locations of the 12 Jyotirlingas mentioned in the Shiv Puran, Swami Avimukteshwaranad has questioned the establishment of Kedarnath in Delhi rather than being on the mountains. Citing political reasons, the spiritual guru said that political people are entering the religious spaces. He further raked up allegations of a scam in the gold laying work inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Kedarnath Temple in the Himalayas.
Surinder Rautela Clarrifies Political Rumors In Building Kedarnath
Clarifying the rumors, the President of Kedarnath Dham Trust, Surinder Rautela said that the upcoming Kedarnath Temple in Delhi will not be a Dham and will just be a Temple. He further emphasized that the state government of Uttarakhand is not involved in the construction of the temple. It is being built by the Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust, Delhi which is an independent unit.
Rautela further said that various temples have been established in many cities named after the famous Dham. He named Kedarnath Temple in Indore and Badrinath Temple in Mumbai and said both the temples were inaugurated by then Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had attended the Bhoomi Pujan in Delhi at the request of the Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust.
