Bhopal: A big movement of selected teachers has started in Bhopal. Hundreds of selected teachers from across the state are protesting and raising slogans at the BJP office today.
According to sources, the state administration issued a notice in 2018 calling for applications for Class 1 and Class 2 teachers at various state-owned schools. The state education department accepted nearly 30,000 applications. Additionally, 2200 applications were also accepted following which the eligibility test was conducted in 2019. After the verification of the selected teachers was conducted from January 2020 to April 2021, the government has failed to issue the appointment letter.
Selected teachers in the protest demand an immediate response from the CM Shivraj Chauhan. Staging a protest the teachers raised slogans chanting “Hum Honge Kamyaab”
The teachers also printed banners of the tweets made by CM Shivraj wherein he promised appointments. One amongst the selected teachers named Manoj Rajouria said that the ministers and officials keep giving assurance and dates but not the appointment letter. Visuals of teachers appealing for issuance of appointment letters featured tireless ladies rolling on the grounds and holding Rakhis to tie to CM Shivraj in lieu of the appointment letter.
The state police deployed more than 80 police personnel and Jawans at the protest site near BJP Office citing security reasons.
Earlier on the occasion of Guru Purnima, several selected teachers protested in the state on the same demands.
